Chef Roslyn Spence trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, but her biggest critic remains her mother, a 94-year-old self-taught cook for Hollywood’s Golden Era stars. Selected as one of three graduate-level documentary thesis films funded by the University of Southern California. 

 

Calamity Janes: Women of the Wild Gay West

Writer, photographer, & cinematographer (multimedia documentary piece, 2019)

This long-form visual story takes a ride with the LGBT cowgirls of California’s gay rodeo. Created as a year-long senior thesis for USC's Cultural Anthropology department.
