Annalise is a documentary filmmaker, writer, photographer, and illustrator. Her work has been published at the New York Times, The Atlantic, Texas Monthly, Science Magazine, and the Austin Chronicle and screened at over 15 international film festivals, including Slamdance, AmDocs, Nashville Film Festival, DocLA, and NFFTY. Her inability to stick to just one medium and her interest in culture, religion, and the environment can be blamed on her dual degrees in anthropology and film production. She has previously worked as a documentary fellow at The Atlantic, in post-production for National Geographic's Jane, and producing, shooting, editing, and designing commercial content in both English and Spanish. Her film credits also include stunt driver, gaff tape sculpture artist, and raccoon casting agent. She’s good at not getting lost in the wilderness, and can communicate ineffectively with squirrels.
